Business messaging for an AI weapons-detection company

Evolv makes AI-based weapons detection systems for schools, hospitals, stadiums and cities. Ahead of a major redesign, Boston brand agency, Ideometry, brought us in to write the business messaging: covering use cases, audiences, platform and company.

The brief

Ideometry ran the project in four sprints, with several team working from one set of page templates. We joined for the third sprint and carried into the fourth.

Given what was at stakes, each word, punctuation, and connotation had to be considered carefully. Misinterpretation was not acceptable and we left nothing at chance.

[maybe use a picture of a web of information architecture showing the categories we wrote content for, like examples of use cases, examples of audiences, etc -- each category denoted by different colors and intermixed]

The subject

It's important to address the reason why Evolv exists and the seriousness of it. But as copywriters and strategists, it's equally important to focus on what matters at the end of the day -- security, shorter lines, and faster responses.

At the same time, anything that wasn't defensible was kept out of the copy.

[use the last image from the current set but update it with some sort of background and the correct colors]

Audiences

Security leaders and executives buy the same platform for different reasons. Evolv's buyer research separated them and so did the messaging across the website.

Dedicated pages for users spoke to their unique needs, experiences, and expectations.

[a 2x2 or 3x3 grid of vertical cells/slices, one for each the audience, use filters, images, etc or anything graphic to show the different kinds of users/institutions instead of only text]

The Security Leaders and Organizational Leaders pages side by side

Platform

Four products and their integrations, presented as a cohesive system designed to work together, covering far more than what individual devices could achieve on their own.

Each product described by what it does for the people at the entrance, detect concealed weapons, identfiy drawn firearms, alert authorities, and connet with systems already in place.

[the systems image is decent but it needs to be improved to match evolv's branding and maybe add some images]

Evolv's product ecosystem: Express, Visual Gun Detection, Insights and Open API

## Lives at stake

It's not very often agencies are tasked to developing messaging for products that can save lives.

The stakes of this project were obvious from the start and are grateful to have been part of this project. Thank you to the team at Ideometry for the opportunity, it was a pelasure working with you as always.

[need a new image since this is being used elsewhere, not sure if you can draw a metal detector, sort of an isometric, mixing Evolv's and HOBIs brand colors, ceneterd and very polish, the metal detector itself can be geoemetric with minimal details]

Headlines from the About, Careers, Press and Support pages, closing on the line: everyone deserves to feel safe in public spaces
